Morrison Ranch is a picture-perfect Gilbert gem! With tree-lined streets, classic white fences, and gorgeous green lawns, it feels like a peaceful countryside retreat in the middle of town. Among one of my favorite locations, it’s a setting that always photographs beautifully!

Insider Notes


Morrison Ranch is especially popular during golden hour, so I tend to schedule sessions here a little earlier to secure the best spots and gives time to settle in before the light is just right.


The white fences are one of the most charming features here and one of my personal favorite aspects! If you’re looking for variety, the nearby silos are an iconic landmark that bring in a touch of rustic architecture and balance the natural greenery beautifully.


Since Morrison Ranch is also a residential community, it’s important to be mindful of traffic and respectful of those who live nearby.

Tucked into the heart of Gilbert, the Cactus Garden at the Riparian Preserve offers a beautiful blend of classic Arizona scenery and a soft, natural setting. Surrounded by towering cacti, desert textures, and open pathways, it’s perfect for families, maternity sessions, and portraits wanting a true desert feel without straying far from town. The warm tones and natural light create a timeless backdrop that lets your family and connection take center stage.

Insider Notes


This location is so expansive and full of a variety of stunning backdrops that it needs to be separated in two sections! Part of the Riparian Preserve are the beautiful saguaros. This is the perfect spot if you are interested in the desert look and feel, but don't necessarily have the extra time for the drive out to the other desert locations.
